Clifford & Co is a chartered accountancy practice founded by Lynn Clifford.

Lynn previously worked for a large firm of accountants in Birmingham, as a forensic accountant specialising in tax investigation work and then took the oppurtunity to set up her own practice, which is something she always wanted to do.

Lynn qualified as a chartered accountant in 1982 and has a wide experience gained whilst working for other firms of accountants. She is particularly experienced in Inland Revenue investigations, having spent many years handling all types of investigation from the small sole trader to large groups of companies.

Lynn sees her role as helping her clients deal with all the red tape of running a business and coping with the formalities of self-assessment. After dealing with numerous individuals in trouble with the taxman, she is only too aware of the pressures people can face when confronted with the powers of the Inland Revenue and other government bodies. Lynn firmly believes that her clients should concentrate on running their business or their home, and let her deal with the hassle of the everyday financial issues we all face.

Clifford & Co is a friendly and approachable local firm. Lynn knows that good client relationships are the key to a successful business and her friendly approach characterises all dealings with clients.

The firm offers a complete range of accounting and taxation services for both individuals and businesses. The personal approach makes life easier for clients. We work on the basis that an accountant should be there to help clients, not to instil fear into them like a dentist!

Lynn endeavours to keep overheads low so that she can offer very competitive rates to clients. This means clients have the assistance and support of a fully qualified chartered accountant at very reasonable rates. We are able to offer fixed fees for most types of accountancy and tax work, although fees for specialist work such as tax enquiries and forensic accounting are by nature based on time and expertise.
